Like Chutneys, Kosumbaris are common side dishes.
Kosumbaris are normally prepared from various Grams( daals) by soaking them in water.
Ingredients :
1. Mong dal -1 cup
2. Green chilly - 3
3. Cumin/Jeera - 1 tsp
4. Coriander
5. Salt as per taste
6. Lemon - 1 tsp
7. Cucumber - 1 small
8. Carrot (grated)- 1 tbsp
Preparation:
1. Soak the mong dal in water for 2 hrs
2. Grind - green chilly and cumin.
3. Grate the cucumber and carrot.
4. Wash the mong dal and drain the water.
5. Mix all the ingredients.
This side dish tastes good with chapati, roti and pooris. We specially prepare this when we make Holige.
